| MobileMailChecker (MMC) is a mail client for portable devices, licenced under GPL. It is based on J2ME (MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1) and the Mail4ME library (http://mail4me.objectweb.org).
According to the still quite low performances of phones or smartphones, MMC has these requirements:
POP3/IMAP and SMTP support, SSL, mails reading and writing, images/videos/sounds attachments visualization, links recognition in the mails texts; easy extendibility, so that other features will be added when more powerful devices will be on the market.
Now the project is at the beta stage, the most important features has already been developed, with a simple GUI.
